Terms of service

Last updated October 15, 2026

These terms govern your use of AnswerWren ("the Service"), operated by AnswerWren ("we", "us"). By creating an account you agree to them on behalf of the business you represent.

1. What the Service does

AnswerWren answers phone calls forwarded to a number we provide, using an automated assistant ("Wren") that speaks with callers, records and transcribes calls, takes messages, books arrival windows, and notifies you by email or text. Wren is software, not a person. It can mishear, misunderstand, or fail to answer. You remain responsible for your customers, your scheduling, and for calling people back.

2. Your responsibilities

3. Plans, trials and billing

4. Phone numbers

Numbers we assign remain ours and are released when your subscription ends. You keep your own business number; we only receive calls you forward. Carrier forwarding charges, if any, are yours.

5. Data

Recordings, transcripts, leads and summaries belong to you. We process them to run the Service as described in our privacy policy, keep recordings for 90 days and transcripts for as long as your account is open, and delete your data within 30 days of a deletion request from the account owner.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for the Service to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. Voice, telephony and AI components come from third parties and can have outages. We may change features with notice in the product.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost jobs, lost revenue, missed emergencies, or indirect damages.

8. Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing hello@answerwren.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or do not pay.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Santa Clara County, California.
